Colette Lozyniak

 

Colette grew up dancing in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was accepted into the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, where she received classical training in Vaganova ballet technique under the instruction of Nikoloz Makhateli. Throughout high school, Colette attended prestigious summer intensives including the American Dance Festival, the Rockettes Summer Intensive, Joffrey Ballet, and Atlanta Ballet. She also had the opportunity to perform with the Martha Graham Dance Company and appeared across New Orleans in events such as the New Orleans Fringe Festival and Jazz Festival.

Colette continued her training at the University of Alabama, earning a degree in Dance and performing with the Alabama Repertory Dance Theatre and Dance Alabama throughout her four years. Upon graduation, she moved to New York City, training at leading studios across the city before pivoting during the COVID-19 pandemic to pursue an MBA from Louisiana State University Shreveport.

Following her MBA, Colette relocated to Los Angeles, where she continued performing and training before moving to Charleston to be closer to family. She is now active in the local dance community, teaching and performing throughout the city.
